The Burano Lace Museum

If you're visiting the island of Burano, a visit to its lace museum, the Merletto Museum, is a must.

It is located right next to the church, on the other side of the Campo.

Here you can admire both antique and more recent lace, showing the skills of the Burano lace-makers who have been and still are the pride of Venice and Burano.

For centuries, Burano lace held pride of place in all the great royal courts of Europe, as did Murano glass.
