Maret Anne Sara “Sculptures” Nordic Sami Pavilion Venice Biennale Art Exhibition
Maret Anne Sara was born in 1983, she lives and works in Norway. Her works are exhibited in the Nordic Sami Pavilion at the Giardini.
Maret Anne Sara's sculptures are also olfactory and are intended to highlight the importance of reindeer in Sami culture.
According to Maret Anne Sara, reindeer are an integral part of her people; they are essential to their physical and spiritual survival.
